Ogbono seed also known as Apon is used for making Nigerian soup with beef/goat meat, fish, or chicken. The soup is a delicacy that can be eaten with fufu (cassava/plantain flour), eba (cassava flakes) Pounded yam or amala (yam flour).
Also called Egusi, Agusi or Agushi. It is a fat and protein rich seeds derived from melon plants which are dried and grounded for making Egusi soup in some West African countries.
